Any tips when using this website?

We do not guarantee that all website codes and generators will work for everyone.  For this reason we highly suggest backing up your original website files before "playing around" with our free tools.  We offer our free tools to assist webmasters when developing or updating a website, so take advantage of everything we have to offer!

If your personal computer contains the program Microsoft Paint then you may add text to any saved image & graphic.

We have a simple to follow tutorial here. Please check out our growing list of free developer graphics found here.

If you would like an updated version of the program, you may visit the Paint.net website to download free image and photo editing software, for computers that run on Microsoft Windows.  Great alternative to expensive software!

How do I allow my visitors to send me payments online?

PayPal services are highly recommended when accepting payments online.  PayPal is secure and trusted online from both buyers and sellers alike.  To sign up for a free account click here.  Just fill out the form provided, verify your account, create buttons, then add the generated HTML button code(s) to your website!

How do I make money with my website?

You may make money online in various ways.  The most common method of earning money online is placing advertising network and/or affiliate text or image ads which usually come with various color and size options, on your website.  You may join ad networks and/or affiliate programs which provide a code to place within your website.

How do I save images to my computer?

To save an image or graphic, simply 'right click' your mouse while placing your mouse pointer over the image or graphic you would like to save.  Now select 'Save Picture As' and click.  Name the image or graphic and click 'Save'. (Be sure to name the picture to something you can easily find and remember.)  After saving the image to your computer, you may upload it to your own website or graphic host.

How do I validate my website?

To validate your web-documents and web-pages or learn more about validation please visit: http://www.w3.org/.

This website provides free online services to help you build a better and more efficient website, including several validators which check the syntax of web-documents, written in formats such as CSS and (X)HTML. The best way to ensure that your documents are legal CSS and (X)HTML is by running your documents through one or more validators.  The validators fetch your document or web-page, passes it through a parser, and post-processes

the resulting error list for easier reading. Learn more about validation at: http://www.w3.org/.

How may I use the free developer graphics and stock images?

The free developer graphics and stock images offered within our website may be used to create graphics of your own.  All graphics and/or stock photography offered here may be used in commercial or personal projects.  However, the original graphics and/or stock images may not be posted or distributed in original form.

For example:  If you wish to use a stock photograph, you may create a graphic using the photograph, but you may not post the original photograph.  You may edit (add animation or effects, add text, crop, etc.) the photograph and then you may distribute or post your created graphic on your website.

Basically, do not save and upload the originals to your website.  We've worked hard to provide these freely to you, so please respect our wishes.  Use them as you like to develop your own creations!  Hence the name, developer graphics!

Is this website really free to use?

Yes.  Really.  No, really.  You will notice various sponsor banners and advertisements throughout this website.  Such ads help to keep our services free and with website costs, supplying more content, etc.  If you would like to make a small contribution through PayPal to help us continue to develop and maintain this website please click here for more details.  We sincerely appreciate your support!  If you can not afford a contribution, please consider linking to us!

When I add a CSS code to my website it doesn't work and I know it should!

Most of our CSS codes contain "style" tags.  If your template or website is not correctly displaying the CSS code provided, be sure to remove the <style></style> tags before and after the code, leaving your original tags intact.

For example, turn this: <style> body {background-image:picture.gif}</style><style> body {cursor:Default} </style>

Into this: <style> body {background-image:picture.gif; cursor:Default } </style>

Will all of your codes and tools work on my website?

This all depends on your browser, website host, and overall set-up.

Some of our free website codes will not work or appear correctly on all websites.  Why?  Some of our website codes include Microsoft only functions (for example, image effects and filters through our Image Effect Generator) which will not appear other web-browsers (e.g. Firefox) and some website hosts.  Some website hosts also do not allow insertion of javascript or will receive errors with use.  We are very sorry for this inconvenience, but it is truly out of our control.
